Don Failla Review – MLM Guru or Book Peddling Salesman?
Don Failla is an MLM guru made famous as the author of several successful books on MLM. He and his wife Nancy have travelled extensively, teaching their MLM methodology all over the world. You can find their “I Own My Life” pins worn by network marketers at every MLM convention.
Don Failla has made a fortune selling the MLM dream for more than 40 years, having sold more than 4.5 million copies of their books in 23 languages. His best seller is The 45 Second Presentation that Will Change Your Life. It’s easy to understand why it’s so popular among networkers; the Faillas claim its the exact blueprint they used to create a downline of more than 750,000 people in less than 12 years.
But does Don Failla’s network marketing method help the average distributor build a massive downline, or does the information belong in a network marketing museum of out-dated tactics?
Absolutely his methods work. Some of the greatest leaders in our industry swear by it, and passing on Don Failla’s teachings have helped to create success for many. Don and Nancy have built a big network marketing business for themselves and they continue to teach others how to do it too. In the 45 Second Presentation, the 10 Napkin Presentations explain with ultra simplicity, the entire network marketing model. The book makes MLM simple and eliminates many of the objections people have when they first start out. I recommend having a copy to everyone in MLM.
While Don Failla does a great job of explaing MLM, his teachings don’t cover how to effectively prospect. Who are you going to present the information to? Aunt Sue? Cousin Joe? Most serious network marketers will tell you they talk to 20 people a day… in that case, just about every new person would have completed contacting their “list” of personal contacts in less than 2 weeks. However there is no in-depth discussion of lead generation in his books, so you’re on your own as far as figuring out who to talk to.
Don Failla has brought a ton of value to the MLM industry; what he provides in his books are information that is great for new and old marketers the world over, regardless of what company you’re with. But if you’re looking for training on lead generation and prospecting, you’ll need to find that training somewhere else.
