The trees decided to elect a king (A)
The Olive Tree refused to be the King saying…
In the Bible, there are some stories, sketches and things that are hard to believe; they may be classified into scientific things, historical stories, fiction sketches etc.
This series present some of these stuffs as examples.
This article presents one of the Biblical fiction sketches.
The Bible (Judges 9:8-9) says:
Once upon a time the trees decided to elect a king.
The trees said to the Olive Tree: “Be our king!”
But the Olive Tree said:
“Should I quit producing the olive oil that blesses and honors both God and people, in order to rule the trees and just to wave back and forth over the trees?”
And the Olive Tree refused the trees’ offer

The Problem of translation of the Hebrew word “God”
The original Hebrew verse uses the word “אֱלֹהִ֖ים“ = elohim = God (not gods)
This word is translated many times throughout the entire Bible to God.
Upon translating Judges 9:9 some of the eminent Biblical scholars made a big problem! They translate the word “אֱלֹהִ֖ים“to gods not to God.
Oh you eminent Biblical scholars! There is a very big difference between God and gods!
Is not there or what?
Judges 9:8-9 in different versions of the Bible:

The Message
8The trees set out one day to anoint a king for themselves. They said to Olive Tree, “Rule over us.”
9But Olive Tree told them, “Am I no longer good for making oil that gives glory to gods and men, and to be demoted to waving over trees?”
English Standard Version
8 The trees once went out to anoint a king over them, and they said to the Olive Tree, ‘Reign over us.’
9But the Olive Tree said to them, ‘Shall I leave my abundance, by which gods and men are honored, and go hold sway over the trees?’
GOD’S WORD Translation
8″The trees went to anoint someone to be king over them. They said to the Olive Tree, ‘Be our king!’
9But the Olive Tree responded, ‘Should I stop producing oil, which people use to honor gods and humans, in order to rule the trees?’

On the other hand, this Biblical fiction sketch of the trees and olive is not found therein in the entire Quran.

Now, we have two big issues:
1) The Biblical scholars claim that the Quran is quoted from the Bible.
2) The Quran claims that the Bible is corrupted.
